Halloween

All dressed up and ready to start trick or treating. Makalynn was a butterful princess and Cole was a lion. He didn't really like his lion hat up on his head. He was much happier with it off!!

Her are the troops ready to go. We all went over to Michelle and Jason's house so the cousins could all go trick or treating together. It has become our tradition and they have so much fun together. After trick or treating we ordered pizza and just hung out and had fun. Even Uncle Ty and Aunt Laura joined us.

Addison and Cole were so cute. They really got in the spirit. They went to every house the big kids went to and said trick or treat and than thank you. They had so much fun. It is amazing how quickly they grow!!

Carving Pumpkins

The finished products. Makalynn had Minnie Mouse and Cole had Mickey Mouse. They were both very proud of their pumpkins!!

Makalynn wanted to see how it would fit!

Makalynn couldn't believe daddy might really put that pumpkin on her head.

Our two happy pumpkin carvers!!!!

Opening presents

We ended the night opening presents at home and having a piece of cake!!!

Ear's Pierced

Makalynn's big present for her birthday was getting her ear's pierced. She was so excited. We went to libby lu in Younkers at Rivertown Crossing's mall.
There were two girls that helped pierce her ears. There names were Sara and Sam. Makalynn was very curious about everything they did.
They cleaned and marked her ears. She held very still through it all
Her facial expressions said she wasn't so sure during the actual piercing itself, but she didn't cry at all.
She was a star 3 year old that day. She was so excited about her new earings. She got a certificate and they put sparkles in her hair when she was finished. When we left the store she told us it didn't hurt at all. Our little girl is growing up!!

Makalynn's birthday at the zoo

We had such a fun day on Makalynn's birthday. Mom and Dad had the day off of work so we could spend it with our three year old. We went to the zoo and had lots of fun looking at all the animals. After the zoo we went to the park for lunch. I can't believe our baby girl is three already the time has gone by so fast. They have been an amazing three years and we thank the Lord everyday for our special little girl.

Mark and Amber's boat

Sunday we went and spent the day at my brother Mark and his wife Amber's boat. It was such a beautiful day. We had so much fun. We spent the afternoon swimming in the pool at the marina. We grilled dinner and than took a boat ride and got some ice cream in Grand Haven. This is Cole and his older cousin Addison(6 days older). They were so cute together. They are doing so many of the same things.
Makalynn had so much fun playing with Hallie for the afternoon. They stayed very busy swimming. They were taking a little snack break.
There was a party going on near the pool. There was a lot of music playing. The girls spent a long time dancing together near the big speakers. They were so cute!!!
Swimming with DADDY!!!
More fun dancing!!! It was such a fun day!!

Silver Lake Sand Dunes

We went to Silver Lake sand dunes for a day with the VanderWal family. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. We wish everyday of the summer could be spent doing things with friends and family. We took Justin's parents jeep and the VanderWal's took their Bronco.
Cole loves Grandpa's jeep. You would think he would think it was to windy and bumpy but not Mr. Cole J. He loved it!!!
This is Makalynn's friend Tessa. She is a couple months older than Makalynn. They have so much fun together. Makalynn rode in their Bronco the whole time. She didn't even ride in the jeep once because she wanted to ride with Tessa. They were both a little scared when Jason went up the first big sand dune "test hill" but they said they liked the little ones.
In between riding around in the dunes we spent sometime on the beach. The lake was very cold but there was a lot of big puddles all over that the kids had tons of fun playing in.
Makalynn and Tessa found a big sand hole that someone dug and they thought it was very fun to sit in the middle of it. We had a very fun day. Days like that always go by to quickly but they sure make good memories!!!

Blueberries

We went and picked blueberries. Makalynn and Cole were very excited when we got home and began to wash them. They ate more blueberries than they have eaten in their whole lives. YUMMMY!!!

Cole was so proud of himself the more blueberries he could eat the better!!! And he could do it all by himself all he needed was a chair!!

Cole's First Haircut

Cole had his very first haircut. It was starting to get long in the back and over the ears. He did pretty good. Makalynn went first so he could see how his big sister did it. He wounldn't sit in the chair by himself so he sat on my lap. He looked like a very handsome man when it was all finished.
